Home Departments Fire & EMS Personnel Personnel Chief Steven Johnson Chief Johnson has been with the Lebanon Fire Division for more than 14 years and is responsible for the daily operations of the Division, training, grant writing and development of run cards. Chief Johnson served as a Corpsman in the Marine Corp for four years and is a Rescue Squad Officer with Ohio Task Force One. Battalion Chief Josh Pirk Battalion Chief Pirk is responsible for the daily operations of Unit 1. He has been with the Lebanon Fire Division for over 19 years and has promoted through the ranks to his current position. Chief Pirk oversees several projects and programs for the division including communications and technology. Battalion Chief Derek Harper Battalion Chief Harper is responsible for the daily operations of Unit 2. He is a father of three children and came to the Lebanon Fire Division from the City of Xenia Fire Division nearly five years ago. Chief Harper currently works on several important projects including Emergency Medical Services. Battalion Chief Ryan Dipzinski Battalion Chief Ryan Dipzinski is the shift commander for Unit 3. Chief Dipzinski is responsible for day-to-day operations of the shift as well as several projects including Warren County Technical Rescue Team Manager for Lebanon, public education and training. He has nearly 20 years’ experience in the fire service and holds numerous certifications and degrees. Chief Dipzinski currently resides in Warren County with his wife of 19 years and 4 children. Lieutenant Ron Whitaker Lt. Whitaker is responsible for Fire / EMS operations for Unit 1, the Division’s fleet maintenance and training. Lt. Whitaker is the father of two children and came to Lebanon Fire Division more than 3 years ago following 15 years as a fire fighter/paramedic in Clermont County. He spends his time away from the Division with his family and furthering his education. Lieutenant Michael Thumann Lt. Thumann is responsible for Fire / EMS operations for Unit 2 in addition to small engines, ladder testing, hose testing, driver’s training and employee evaluations. Lt. Thumann served his country for four years as a Marine. Lieutenant Don Trapp Lt. Trapp is currently assigned to Station 41 and is responsible for providing oversight to Fire/EMS operations for Unit 3 in addition to being the department's Health and Wellness officer. Lt. Trapp began his fire service career in 1997 and he was appointed as a career Lieutenant with the City of Lebanon Fire Division. His current certifications include: Firefighter Level II, National Registry Paramedic, Fire and EMS Instructor, Fire Inspector, Fire Investigator, Hazardous Material Technician, Incident Safety Officer, Health and Wellness Officer, and PEER Fitness Trainer.
