Bike Skills Area
One of the objectives of a bike park is to offer a training ground for riders to improve their skills so that they can better enjoy single-track trails. A mountain bike skills area is an essential feature for any bike park as it allows riders to practice balance and maneuvers that instill the muscle memory and mental preparedness necessary to overcome natural obstacles that will be encountered on a mountain bike trail.
The bike park currently has a mix of easy through very-difficult features for improving bike handling skills and balance.
The cyclocross course features are built to USAC specifications so that the facility can be used to construct various cyclocross courses to host major events and draw local and regional competitors.
The course features currently completed include steep hills, and challenging terrain. A sand area will be constructed within phase I. Phase II of the cyclocross course may bring stairs and a flyover if funding allows.
Jump Line Area
The jump line area is built with progressive skill building opportunities and suitable for mountain, dirt jump, and BMX riders. Off-road ready kids' bikes are okay too. There are currently three lines available with an optional wall ride/drop at the end. Beginner through advanced riders will enjoy this area of the bike park.
Please do not ride the jump lines when they are wet. Always check trail status of the jump lines and mountain bike trails before venturing out. We currently post trail status updates on the park Facebook page. CHECK TRAIL STATUS
Mountain Bike Trails
The bike park has about two miles of mountain bike trails for riders of all skills and abilities to enjoy. It includes a flow trail, bridges, creek crossing, and optional wall ride and drops. The trail head is located in the wooded area behind the park map kiosk. We recommend mountain bikes and off-road ready kids' bikes for this area of the bike park.
Please do not ride the mountain bike trails when they are wet. Always check trail status of the mountain bike trails and other dirt features in the bike park before venturing out. We currently post trail status updates on the park Facebook page. CHECK TRAIL STATUS
The .75 mile perimeter trail surrounds the bike park and is suitable for biking, hiking and jogging for all ages and ability levels. The trail is constructed of compacted rock and gravel. Wildflowers and native grasses are planted throughout to the park to create a natural habitat for birds and wildlife in season.
The bike park features two paved pump tracks. A smaller/beginner pump track and an intermediate/advanced pump track. The tracks are designed to allow for progression of skills and fitness. BMX, Dirt Jump, Mountain and most kids' bikes are appropriate for the pump tracks.
