Canine Patrol

The Lebanon Division of Police has had a Canine Program for over 30 years.  Currently the Lebanon Division of Police has 2 canines, Brix and Max.  The Lebanon Canine Officers have specially outfitted vehicles to allow them to patrol with the canine.

Canine Brix is a six year old German Shepherd born in the Netherlands. Brix and his handler Sgt. Jeff Haller have been working patrol together since May, 2015. Brix is trained as a dual purpose canine, which includes narcotics detection, locating evidence at crime scenes, building and area searches, handler protection and criminal apprehension.  In, 2020, Brix has also added detection of gun powder and vape products to his abilities.  Brix lives with Sgt. Haller and his family when not working.

Canine Max is a two year old German Shepherd/Malinois.  Max and his handler Officer Eric Holmes have been working patrol together since April of 2019.  Max is trained as a dual purpose canine, which includes narcotics detection, locating evidence at crime scenes, building and area searches, handler protection and criminal apprehension.  Max lives with Officer Holmes and his family when not working.
