In January of 2018, The police division and city entered into a memorandum of understanding with Lebanon City Schools to create a School Resource Officer. The SRO program was established to provide a full-time police officer to the school district to serve three primary roles; Safety and Law Enforcement Partner, Educational Resource & Problem Solver and Liaison to Community Resources. The SRO is responsible for direct services such as; providing safety for students, faculty and staff, maintaining a positive role model for students and adults, and create and maintain programs designed to benefit the students, parent, and school staff. Ptl. Dan Fry is assigned to the Lebanon High School, but is responsible for all of Lebanon City Schools campuses.
