The Support Services Bureau works to support the patrol operations. Their duties include the Communications Center, police records, evidence and property room, recruiting and hiring, promotional processes, accreditation, finances and budgeting.
The Support Services Bureau is commanded by Captain Matt Weithofer. Captain Weithofer has been a member of the Lebanon Division of Police since 2006. Captain Weithofer holds a Bachelor's degree in Criminal Justice from the University of Cincinnati. He holds a masters degree in Criminal Justice Administration from Tiffin University. He is a graduate of the Police Executive Leadership College. Captain Weithofer has acted as a patrol watch commander, commander of the Criminal Investigations Section, Drug Recognition Expert (DRE), Impaired Driving Instructor, and bike patrol officer and team commander.
