City Council Seeks Applicants For Vacant Seat

On December 9, 2021 a Lebanon, Ohio City Council Member resigned his seat.  Pursuant to section 2.03 of the Charter of the City of Lebanon, Ohio:

SECTION 2.03.  VACANCIES — FILLING OF.
Any vacancy in the Council shall be filled within thirty (30) days by vote of a majority of the remaining members of Council by the selection of a qualified elector who has resided in the municipality for at least two (2) years immediately preceding his appointment. Such person so chosen shall serve the balance of the unexpired term.”

Qualified individuals (male or female) who would like to be considered for appointment by the Council to fill the unexpired term of the vacant seat on Council should notify the Assistant to the City Manager, Kelli Kline, in writing by e-mail (kkline@lebanonohio.gov), or in- person. In- person applications may be delivered to Kelli Kline at the Office of the City Manager, 50 South Broadway, City Building, Lebanon, Ohio 45036. Please include a short and plain statement of interest in the appointment including a statement that the applicant is a qualified elector in Lebanon, Ohio and has resided in Lebanon for at least two years immediately preceding his or her appointment.  Applications may also include any supporting material in favor of appointment. The City also recommends that e-mail applications include a return receipt request to confirm delivery of the application to the City Manager’s Office.  Applications must be received by Tuesday, December 14, 2021 by noon in order to be considered for this vacancy.
